NUTRITION CONSULTING

Nutrition Consulting

At InMotion Health Center we believe that nutrition is the cornerstone of all healing. A person cannot be truly healthy if the food they eat does not support good health, or worse yet, tears them down. Food is fuel and there is no disease process that cannot be helped with proper nutrition.

An assessment/consult is performed first on the person’s health status and goals. Once determined, a food diary is completed and then a review is made. Some patients need menus and lists of foods and brands to support the menus. Others want an overview of the balance of foods, timing of meals and proportions to be eaten. Whatever is appropriate based on the patients goals and health needs becomes the format for their prescription.
Whole food fruits and vegetables
Juice Plus at Inmotion Health Center, St. Louis MO
There is no one diet or dietary strategy perfect for everyone. Often times there are multiple visits to review progress and measure goals. If needed, the doctors will serve as coaches and develop an ongoing accountability structure to support goals, i.e. with weight loss and measurements of body mass index, hormones, hair analyses and blood tests.

Whole food nutrition is the best source of micronutrients such as antioxidants, enzymes, minerals and fiber. The truth is not only that fruits and vegetables are good for you, but that they may indeed save your life! The doctors at InMotion all take, and prescribe Juice Plus+, a nutritional whole food fruit and vegetable supplement in a capsule. The goal of most eating strategies is to achieve an alkaline pH to the bloodstream as acidity enhances diseases such as infections, inflammations, lowered immunity and ns, lowered immunity and bone thinning.

supplements

Supplements are quite a vast category and include many different types. In addition to whole food supplementation, at InMotion the doctors prescribe Chinese Herbs, glandulars, bioidentical hormone creams, digestive enzymes, homeopathic remedies and pain/inflammation relief compounds. In order to decide which to implement, the doctors will assess you on an individual basis. Occasionally saliva testing, hair analysis and or an acupuncture electrical assessment in addition to blood and urine analysis are used to complete the profile. Followup testing is also performed as needed. Glandulars are nutritionals made from various organs and tissues of mammals. The process includes extracting protomorphogen substances, which are basically salt extracts of glands of the animal. The RNA is then recognized by our tissue and the tagged nutrients of certain glands will be distributed to human target glands and used by our bodies to repair the organ that is in need. These glandulars are used as natural support for the thyroid, adrenal and pituitary glands.

Bioidentical hormone crèmes are supplemental doses of hormones that have a chemical structure identical to the hormones that the human body produces. At InMotion we prescribe crèmes for perimenopause, menopause and postmenopause. Men benefit as well during andropause.

Digestive enzymes are crucial for overall health. If one cannot digest, then health is greatly compromised. Oftentimes as we age we are running out of enzymes. We also get enzymes from uncooked meat, raw milk and raw fruits and vegetables. If we are eating cooked food predominantly or fast food, our natural supply of enzymes gets used up much too quickly and then we become lactose intolerant or have heartburn or Irritable Bowel Syndrome, just to name a few.

Homeopathic remedies are dilutions of natural substances that address the underlying causes of disease. Small doses are used and dissolved under the tongue to give the desired effect.

Pain and inflammation are treated with creams and salves as well as compounds designed specifically for disc and joint health. Food and herbs are also recommended for pain relief.
